NON-STOP WEEK FOR McKENNA BROTHERS

Posted on 15th March 2025

Derek Dawson MD of McKenna Brothers reviews a hectic week for himself and his team, which included a visit to the factory from the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, and the company’s attendance at the Coach and Bus Live exhibition at Birmingham’s NEC.

The week started with an early Monday morning visit from Boris Johnson the Mayor of London, “it was a great moral boosting visit for all the team” commented Derek Dawson MD who went onto say “this is recognition for all the hard work the team has put in over many years with TFL, to produce a product that enhances an already wonderful looking vehicle in the New Bus for London (NBFL). The mayor concluded his visit by helping to produce and print his own bespoke destination blind which incorporated some of the UK manufactories involved in the production of the NBFL.

Then early Tuesday morning the team made their way to the NEC for Coach and Bus Live.

The show was extremely busy with lots of interest surrounding the launch of the new Energy Efficient, Low Weight MobiLED Ultima sign.  Also on display was an array of signs including the new Silver Series which had a huge response, complimenting these signs were full on board voice announcement systems which include next stop indicators and TFT Screens. The bespoke design, supply and fitting service of vehicle livery, along with the printed vinyl section of McKenna Brothers was also extremely busy with lots of enquiries.

Friday morning was at last a chance to sit down, catch breath and reflect on the week that has just gone by, Dawson sums up “what a fantastic week at McKenna Brothers, starting with the mayor’s visit and ending with an extremely busy trade show, all in all it goes to show that McKenna Brothers are Clearly Leading the Way”
