McKenna Brothers would like to announce John Hartley as their new Sales Manager as the company looks to grow within the passenger transport industry.
This appointment is made with immediate effect and forms part of McKenna’s ongoing business strategy for the company’s expansion, enabling the team to build upon its success in the UK and pursue new business opportunities in the current developing markets.
Commenting on the appointment, Derek Dawson Managing Director of McKenna Brothers stated:
“John is a well known, liked and respected figure in our industry and brings with him a real depth of knowledge and experience and I am confident that his innovative vision will bring a new dimension to our business. He will work alongside our current sales manager Ian Grimshaw.” He went on to say “the 3 of us have a combined 94 years of working within the transport industry, so we are in good shape going forward. John is leaving one of the UK’s market leaders Wrightbus and in coming to work for us shows our ambitions going forward.”
In accepting the appointment John said:
“I am deeply excited to be joining McKenna’s at this key part of my career and look forward to pursuing new opportunities within this well-established company.”
John started his career at East Lancashire Coachbuilders in 1992, working his way up from the shop floor before finally taking on the role of Contracts Manager. When ELC became Darwen Group, John assumed the role of Regional Sales Manager, which then eventually came under the merged ownership of Optare, until his departure in 2013 when he joined Wrightbus as National Account Manager.
