Mayor of London Boris Johnson visits McKenna Brothers (30th Sept 2013)
Posted on 10th February 2025On his way to the Conservative Party Conference being held in Manchester, The Mayor of London Boris Johnson paid a visit to McKenna Brothers in Middleton to not only see where and how the destination blinds for the New Bus for London are manufactured, but also to try his hand at actually printing one himself.
Whilst on a tour of the factory he was his usual enthusiastic self, and very keen to input text into the computer prior to cutting the artwork, and then preparing artwork ready for transfer to a full size screen for printing.
To mark the occasion, McKenna Brothers presented Boris with a framed miniature of the blind he had printed, along with the actual full size version as a memento.
