NEW TFGM VOLVO 7900e FITTED WITH McKENNA SIGNS AND GRAPHICS

Our mission and service

A first for the streets of any UK city is the new all electric Volvo 7900e single decker bus, launched by the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham and on trial for an 8 week period, operating on TFGM’s free to use MetroShuttle2 Manchester City Centre Service.

It is a first because it is charged using a Pantograph on site at the Shudehill Interchange.

The vehicle which has zero emissions is fitted with full vinyl graphics on the outside by McKenna Brothers, who have also supplied and fitted on behalf of Volvo, the front, side and rear destination and route signs which utilise the latest ICU602 cab controller, this also operates the mobitec next stop audio/visual system with a 29″ stretch TFT display to show alongside infotainment in full HD.

I’m sure we will be seeing more of this type of bus in our towns and cities as we try and promote emission free sustainable transport helping to create a healthier future for us all.
